After a big fault, everyone writes a timeline.

The team leader and the group leader tell us to write, in fine detail, what each person was doing at what hour and what minute.

I write my own part later, remembering it afterwards, but this is quite hard, because I do not remember.

So lately, while I am handling things, I type just the time into a note.

Something like “18:42 contacted the field worker”. Just that.

A record put together in order of time like this is sometimes also reported to the customers who were affected, as the cause and the flow of the response.

When I am writing something like this, that is the moment I feel, ah, I am doing infrastructure work.
